Swallows Meadow Court – Winners of the Care Team of the Year Award 2015.

The Inaugural Solihull-Together for Better Lives Awards:
Created by a Partnership of Local Health and Social Care organisations.
The awards recognise individuals and organisations that are working together to make life better for Solihull residents and took place at the Renewal Centre, Lode Lane, Solihull in the presence of the Mayor of Solihull on the 19th March 2015. The focus of this Year’s Awards was Care and Support for Older People.
Solihull Care Limited’s Swallows Meadow Court (Care Home with Nursing) were finalists in two categories: Care Team of the Year Award 2015 and the Award for Collaborative Working and were the eventual winners of the prestigious Care Team of the Year Award 2015 beating three other finalists.
David Williams, General Manager of Solihull Care Limited, said “This award is very well deserved and a tribute to the commitment of the Home Manager Geraldine Banham and the staff of every Department at Swallows Meadow Court and I am proud to be their colleague and Manager.”
The “Care Team of the Year” was the most popular category with 8 team nominations.
The judges praised this “superb team of professionals” who came across as highly motivated and proud of what they do – the team were also praised by a MacMillan Nurse who works with them. Thank You notes from families of people who were cared for at Swallows Meadow Court highlighted the love and compassion shown by the staff of the Home.
