Cathy Twilton
Cathy spent most of her career in primary education and later in a range of leadership roles. The latter providing her with a range of skills from budgetary management, fund raising, recruitment and training to safeguarding. Her interest in adult social care and in particular domiciliary care and residential and nursing care arose from her personal experience supporting family members. She is passionate about quality care and can relate and empathise with the experience of users. In her leisure time she loves gardening, the outdoors, travel and family. She has two grown up children and two grand children. She also loves dogs.
Sharon O’Connor
Sharon qualified as a first level registered nurse in 1980 and has worked in the NHS as a Hospital Sister and for many years in the private healthcare sector as a Managing Director (Scotland) for Four Seasons Health Care, before retiring in 2012. Sharon is passionate about providing high quality care for all of the residents within Solihull Care, and ensuring that resident choice is paramount. She has one son and two young grandchildren who she enjoys spending time with and generally spoiling! Sharon enjoys holidays, socialising with friends, attending classes at the gym, and the more sedentary pursuits of reading and sudoku.
Mike Hooper
Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 and for many years owned a professional private practice in Solihull Town Centre. Although retired now, he still keeps a small portfolio of clients. Mike is an avid Francophile, and visits the South of France at least twice a year. He likes eating out with friends, red wine and vintage cars and follows Formula One racing avidly as well as watching boxing and rugby whenever he can. Mike certainly enjoys his immaculate garden, although these days, he prefers someone else to achieve this for him.
