Hello to our wonderful readers.

Hasn’t the three months flown since I started in post. It has been a joy to get to know the staff team a little more and discuss the future of Solihull Care with them. We hope to develop both of our services, by improvement and growth.
Visitors to Swallows Meadow Home will have noticed we have been investing in getting some robust roof repairs done during the summer months. We also had problems with our automatic door, which have finally been sorted out following a meeting with three contractors on site. Hallelujah!
We are in the process of growing our domiciliary care service, concentrating on recruitment at the moment. Once we have onboarded some new staff we will be in the position of taking on new clients. If you are interested in receiving a care package from Solihull care, please do get in touch with reception@solihullcare.co.uk This is also the contact if you wish to enquire about vacancies we have in the domiciliary Care service. We have a well-established team, and pay competitive rates to our carers as well as the full 45p per mile allowance direct to the carer. This saves them having to claim it through their own personal tax application at the end of the financial year. Our carers work hard enough, Solihull Care feels the easier we make it for them, the more they will appreciate working for us. There’s no case of grass being greener somewhere else when it comes to Solihull Care!

One of the ways we want to help our staff do the best job they can is by using the most up to date tools in their work. The domiciliary care service already uses an electronic care planning , logging in and out system. All the information they need is at the touch of a button.

Having put new digital systems in place for domiciliary care which are working well, we are now moving forward with a digital system for the care Home. Watch this space.
